Watershed
Plan
q Comments
on the watershed plan are due to Susan by October 26th (the next
Planning Unit meeting). It is very important that Planning Unit members
carefully review and comment on the draft plan.
q Susan,
Phil and Pam briefed the Mason BOCC on the status of the WRIA 14 and 16
Watershed plan on October 10th.
The Board gave some general guidance that was shared with the Planning
Unit. This will be formally
communicated in a letter from the Board in the near future.
q The
Planning Unit reviewed and revised draft recommendations for the watershed
plan. The revisions are included as a
separate document. The recommendations
reviewed or revised by the Planning Unit are in blue.

Storage
Report
q Comments
on the draft storage report are due to Susan by Friday, October 28th.
3.
Instream
Flow Grant
q Jim
Mathieu of NW Land and Water is working on a scope of work and budget for Step
C of the instream flow grant.
4.
Upcoming Meetings
q The time
for Planning Unit meetings has been changed to 9-12 (rather than 10-12) to
allow more time to work on recommendations.
q The next
Planning Unit meeting will be on Wednesday, October 26th from 9-12
at the Shelton Civic Center.
q There will
also be a Planning Unit meeting on Wednesday, November 9th from 9-12
at the Shelton Civic Center.
q The second
meeting in November has been moved from November 23rd (Thanksgiving
Eve) to November 30th.
