DRAFT MEETING SUMMARY
Attending: Diane Marcus-Jones & Stephanie Kenny, Mason County; Jeanne Kinney, Thurston County; Theresa Parsons, City of Shelton; Phil Wiatrak, Dept. of Ecology; Warren Dawes, SWPSWC; Bob Burkle, WDFW; Bob Simmons, WSU Cooperative Extension; & Susan Gulick, Sound Resolutions.
1. RFP for Plan Writing
q The TC reviewed the draft RFP and made numerous revisions.
2. Terry Husseman Grant Ideas
q The TC discussed various ideas for grant applications for Terry Husseman funds.
q The group agreed to pursue the following ideas. The designated person agreed to follow up on the idea and to write a draft grant application if it seems appropriate.
q Draft applications should be sent to Phil by Friday, June 18th. He’ll make suggestions and the applications will be finalized at the June PU meeting on the 23rd.
3. Updates
q The Instream Flow Grant and NW Land and Water Contract are both ready for processing; Mason County needs to review and verify the budget numbers in the grant.
q Once Mason County approves the numbers, the grant should be forwarded to Cathy Hubbard at Ecology for processing.
q The storage grant is awaiting final approval from Ecology and will then be ready to sign. The Cosmopolitan contract amendment is final and ready to sign as soon as the grant is approved.
4. Upcoming Meetings
q The next PU meeting will be on Wed. June 23rd from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Shelton Civic Center.
q The next TC meeting will be on Wed. July 14th from 10-12 at the Shelton Civic Center.
